Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan met in New York with the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Robert Bradke, Igor Popov, and Jacques Faure, and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The damage done to the negotiating process by Azerbaijan and the peaceful settlement of the conflict through negotiations were on the agenda.
The co-chairs stressed the principled position of their countries to settle the conflict by peaceful means only.
E. Nalbandyan also met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon. The sides discussed issues related to further development of Armenian-American cooperation. They addressed the Karabakh problem resolution process and the situation following the release of the murderer Safarov as a result of the Hungarian-Azerbaijani deal.
In this connection the Armenian foreign minister attached importance to the unanimous condemnatory response of the international community.
