Today, at about 11:30 am, 19-year-old Private Vaghinak Arshavir Baghdasaryan, a conscript of unit N., received a gunshot wound as a result of shots fired by the enemy and died on the spot, according to preliminary information. He was drafted in January 2011 by the Military Enlistment and Registration Office of Yerevan's Nor Nork district.
In connection with the fact, the 2nd investigation unit of the Investigation Service of the RA Defense Ministry opened a criminal case under the RA Criminal Code's Article 104 Part 2 point 13 (murder out of motives of national, race or religious hate or fanatism). An investigation is underway.
The scene and the body have been examined. A forensic examination is scheduled to take place soon, the Defense Ministry reports.
