Yesterday, at about 4:30 pm a car belonging to the unit N. of the Defense Ministry swerved and overturned on Aruch-Nor Amanos motorway in Aragatsotn marz (province). As a result, nine out of the ten serviucemen in the car received injuries of various degrees and were taken to the «Armenia» Medical Center, then to the Central Military Hospital of the RA Defense Ministry.
Private Gor Galstyan died in the «Armenia» Medical Center at 0:20 am, September 25, without regaining consciousness.
The seven other servicemen are in satisfactory condition. Private Harutyun Kirakosyan is in extremely grave condition.
In connection with the fact, the 4th investigation unit of
the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Defense opened a criminal case under Article 377 part 2 of the RA Crimianl Code (violation of vehicle driving or operation rules, which results in reckless homicide). An investigation is underway, the Defense Ministry reports.
