A group of young rescuers of Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has left for Belarus to participate in an international meeting of young firemen and rescuers.
The meeting is scheduled to be held in Minsk on Sept. 17-23.
Seven children- two girls and five boys aged 12-16 were selected from Armenian schools to participate in the event.
The participants were chosen due to their academic excellence, knowledge on emergency situations, and creative aptitude. Later, they underwent special courses (first aid, firefighting, swimming) and received fireman and rescuer's uniforms, the Ministry reports.
