Aznavour’s meetings in Bern

On January 11, RA Ambassador to Switzerland Charles Aznavour participated in the traditional New Year's ceremony for heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Switzerland.

According to the MFA Department of Press, Information and Public Relations, during the ceremony, Aznavour wished the newly elected President of the Swiss Confederation Evelin Widmer Shlumpf and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Burkhalter success and efficiency in further development of friendly ties and cooperation established between both countries.

On the same day, Aznavour had a working meeting with the Armenian-Swiss Parliamentary Friendship Group. During the meeting, the sides discussed the directions for cooperation between the parliaments of both countries and the opportunity for reciprocal visits.

Ambassador Aznavour attached importance to the high-level cooperation between the parliamentary friendship groups of both countries, including the efforts for recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
