Tariffs to go up in 2010

Tariffs for gas and electricity will likely go up in 2010. President for the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), Robert Nazarian, refrained from making forecasts for 2009-2010.
However, he noted that starting from April 1, 2010, Russia will sell gas to Armenia at a new price - $180 per 1000 cubic meters of gas. (Presently the price is $154)

Accordingly, ArmRusGasArd Company will submit a bid for new tariffs with the PSRC after January 15 and the Commission will reconsider the new price.

The price of electricity will also go up, since it is directly connected with gas, says Robert Nazarian.
