Elen Ghazaryan from Vanadzor claims that her twin boys have health problems that are incompatible with the service. "My son has a 17% shortsightedness, but in Malaysia they [doctors] wanted to put a soft pillow on my head. I understand that there is a problem of completing the number, but at least they should be honest to not make these children to become disabled," says the woman. The other boy, Seyran Karapetyan, has a 3rd degree of flat-footedness. The examination took place at Nork Marash Medical Center. Elen Ghazaryan demands permission to have a medical examination at another medical institution. The woman applied to the RA Ministry of Defense Public Council. The Commission will examine the application after receiving the conclusion of the General Commission for Medical Examination. The Public Council received 35 complaints during the summer recruitment, says Gegham Harutyunyan, Chairman of the Council. The President of the Council notes that mistakes are sometimes possible, and the purpose of the investigation has structure. During the previous recruitment, the commission received 162 appeals, of which 97 were filed a petition and, as a result, 32 applications were satisfied with either dismissing from compulsory military service or granting a deferment.
