Ararat Mirzoyan: We will not close our eyes
Today, the Commission on Reform of Electoral Legislation under the Prime Minister carried out the first discussion on the amendments to the Electoral Code. RA First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told the journalists after the discussion that the topic of the discussion was mainly the pre-election campaign. "After a certain period, our commission will contact with the parliamentary format and will understand how we provide general employment involvement with common efforts," said Ararat Mirzoyan. According to him, the objective is not to have legislative reforms and, as a result, to have one Electoral Code, but to have such Electoral Code that it would make possible to hold fair and democratic elections in the public. Ararat Mirzoyan confirmed that the elections will be held within a year and added: "We will not close our eyes, we will not allow to carry out propaganda in the form of electoral bribe and to name it charity, such a thing can no longer be in new Armenia."
