Teachers: Technology subject kills the desire to compose

More than 130 teachers from all regions of Armenia discussed the expediency of teaching technology in the 2nd and 3rd grades with the Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan. According to some teachers, some of the subjects develop business thinking in students, which is not right for children aged 7-8. "Why would a child see profits in everything? Why should he not compose and rather think about what to make for selling? I think it's early in the 2nd grade." But other pedagogues have an opposite view: business thinking is needed for the capitalist period. "In the framework of this subject, pupils are referred not as children, but as entrepreneurs, that approach is right," says one of the teachers.
