Certainly, it is appreciated the concern of the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan about the resignations of the MPs. Of course, it is necessary that we all be guided by the Constitution without violating the letter of the law. As the President of the National Assembly, I have always acted by this principle, even in the most difficult situations. As for the resignation of the some MPs, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction has already stated that there has been no demand for resignation against any MP's faction. The resignation of MP Grigor Avalyan is his personal decision, in accordance with his convictions, the right of which is reserved to the MP by the Constitution. Of course, I also spoke with MP Aghvan Vardanyan. I urged not to hurry, but Mr. Vardanyan insisted that the decision was based on the personal principles and beliefs. According to the Constitution, we only have to wait and then record the facts. I hope that we will be guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia.
