Catholicos goes to President this time
Today, Armen Sarkissian hosted His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians at the Presidential Palace. The President of the Republic welcomed His Holiness and emphasized the irreplaceable merits of the Armenian Apostolic Church in all aspects of our people's life, in the preservation of national and spiritual values. The President of the Republic and Catholicos of All Armenians spoke about the close cooperation between the state and the church, the strengthening of the homeland-diaspora relations, the most important issues of the national-church life and the existing challenges. His Holiness expressed confidence that respect for President Sarkissian, his international contacts, his great experience in the governance domain, and knowledge would serve the best progress of the country.
