Criminal case launched based on Asya Khachatryan's reports
On April 6, 2018, the Office of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh received a letter from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Artsakh on checking the data on Asya Khachatryan's allegations made in the context of the criminal proceedings. On the basis of these materials, on April 10, a criminal case was launched in the Special Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Artsakh pursuant to Article 323 (2) of the RA Criminal Code/transferring official powers with the use of violence/offenses. An investigation is underway.
