Armenian chess team is in 4th place
The Junior Chess Olympiad (M 16) ended in Ahmedabad, India. Armenian national team beat Malasia 3: 1 in the last round and took the fourth place with 12 points. The Russian national team, ahead of India (15) and Iran (14), became the winner of the Olympiad (16 points). The tournament was attended by 30 teams from 28 countries (India was represented by 3 teams). Armenian team led by GM Artashes Minasyan presented Aram Hakobyan, Shant Sargsyan, Davit Mirzoyan, Mamikon Gharibyan and Anna Sargsyan. Our chess players took six victories in nine games, losing only the prize-winning teams.
