89 girls are vaccinated against Papilloma virus

Today, in the NA Standing Committee on Health and Social Affairs, the issue of vaccination against the papilloma virus was discussed with the Minister of Healthcare and the Ministry's specialists. Gayane Sahakyan, the Head of the Ministry's National Immunization Program, presented statistics. She said that our country is one of the countries with high morbidity. From 100,000 women, 7-8 die from the neck cancer every year. "There were about 127 deaths in 2015, and in order to controlled and prevent, a screening program was being implemented in the country." She said that the Ministry of Health carried out a survey among women aged 30-60, and at least 50 percent of women (300,000 women) were targeted to be included in this research, but only 40% of women were examined.
