Armenia’s FM meets Israeli PM Netanyahu (video)

On November 7, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu during his official visit to Israel.

The meeting began in an expanded format, with the participation of delegations, after which it continued in a narrow format. Greeting the guest, the Prime Minister of Israel noted that Israel is ready to expand relations with Armenia, taking into account the great potential for development of cooperation. Thanking for the reception, Edward Nalbandian conveyed to Benjamin Netanyahu the greeting and warm wishes of President of Armenia. The Armenian Foreign Minister noted with satisfaction that the activation of contacts between Armenia and Israel has recently become noticeable and expressed confidence that efforts, it will be possible to give new impetus to bilateral relations based on rich historical traditions and thanks to joint efforts. The interlocutors considered it symbolic that the visit takes place in the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that it will give a good opportunity to take new steps to develop relations and assess the path that has been taken. Issues of the agenda of the Armenian-Israeli relations, cooperation within the international organizations were discussed during the meeting. The sides also touched upon the rich historical and cultural heritage of Armenians. The interlocutors exchanged views on regional and international issues, the Middle East processes. Edward Nalbandian presented to the interlocutor the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in the direction of exclusively peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
