People with mental health problems have been deprived of free-of-charge Ziprexia medication provided by the state. This has caused a lot of problems. This medicine is quite expensive, and these people are not able to get it. Instead of Ziprexia, the state currently supplies the local medication called Olanzapin, for people with mental health problems which they think that not only helps but also harms them. "After taking the medicine, my husband has become aggressive, he does not obey me. In the case of Ziprexia, everything was different," said Tamara Vardanyan, the beneficiary of the Armenian Association for Mental Health Rehabilitation NGO. Karine Tukhikyan, President of the Armenian Association for Rehabilitation of Mental Health, noted that the state ignored people with mental health problems. "With cheap drugs they want to turn people's lives into a test field, we demand from the state to provide  the people with mental problems with quality, effective medicine."
