The Jharangutyun Party condemns violence against Narine Avetisyan
On September 28, Narine Avetisyan, Lori TV Editor-in-Chief, was subjected to physical violence when performing her professional duties. At the time of filming the asphalting process, Tigran Nazaryan, head of the constructioncompany, and his staff used violence against the journalist. Using physical force,Narine Avetisyan’s cell phone was taken away by the phone and she was pushed to the ground. The Heritage (Jharangutyun) Party condemns any acts of violence against journalists in Armenia, which is the consequence of an atmosphere of impunity in the country. Looking back to facts of violence in the past, such as leaving violence unpunished, we demand from Vanadzor Investigative Committee to do their best in order to bring the perpetrators to justice. The Jharangutyun Party expresses its unconditional support to Narine Avetisyan.
