OSCE US Co-Chair to arrive in Yerevan
This week, Andrew Shaffer, the OSCE Minsk Group American Co-Chair Andrew Schofer will make his first official visit to Yerevan and Baku to meet with the local officials and get acquainted with the situation on the spot. During his stay in the region, Mr. Schofer will also participate in high-level meetings with the other Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group. The United States supports the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and will continue to work actively with the parties as the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair. Mr. Schofer as the US Co-Chair supports our long-standing policy, adopted by the Minsk Group Co-Chairs, that is, fair settlement should be based on international law, which includes the Helsinki Final Act and the principles of non-use of force or threat of force, territorial integrity and equal rights and self-determination.
