Vigen Chaldranyan as the President of Armenian National Film Academy
On September 25, the Armenian National Film Academy hosted its regular session at Sergei Parajanov Museum. The session was led by General Secretary of the Film Academy and film critic Raffi Movsisyan. They were going to discuss two issues: the election of the President of the Armenian National Film Academy and the selection of the Armenian film for the nomination of the Best Foreign Language Film of the Annual Oscars Award of the American Film Academy. Let us remind that RA People's Artist and film director Harutyun Khachatryan, who was the President of the Armenian National Film Academy since 2016, resigned from his presidency in early September of this year in order to get prepared for the elections of the Union of Cinematographers on October 7. Vigen Chaldranian, RA Honored Artist and film director, has been chosen as the President of the Armenian National Film Academy and film critic Raffi Movsisyan has been re-elected as the General Secretary.
