Murder case moved from SIS
Due to the need to guarantee comprehensive, full and objective investigation, the RA Prosecutor General handed over to the Investigator of the RA Special Investigation Service a criminal case filed by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia on attempting murder by a citizen. According to the preliminary data, the resident of Lori Marz A. M. learned that V. A., the investigator of the Stepanavan division of Lori Marz Investigative Department, disseminated discrediting information about his family members, and on 29.08.2017 at the cemetery, stopped the car of V.A. and tried to kill him, wanting to take revenge. He attacked the investigator with a knife; the latter escaped to the police station. A.M. pursued V. A., then reaching out to the latter, hit him with the knife, causing injuries of medium heavy state. Nevertheless, the crime was unsuccessful, since he was neutralized and detained by the police officers of the division. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated under the Article 34-104 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia is ongoing in the RA Special Investigation Service. Notification: Suspected or accused of an alleged offense is considered innocent until his guilt is not proven in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia by a court verdict entered into force.
