Armenian athletes win second bronze in Tokyo
Armenia’s Samvel Gasparyan (105 kg) won a bronze medal at the Tokyo-hosted Junior World Championships after a total effort of 365 kg (160+205). Gasparyan also took a small silver medal after lifting 200 and then 205 kg in clean and jerk. Reza Beiralvand from Iran became the world champion after lifting 369 kg, while Georgian Dato Khetsuriani came second with a total result of 368 kg. Armenia’s Simon martirosyan and Arpine Dalalayan will compete on the last day of the competition.
