Actor, painter and the garden (video)
Seyran Mkrtchyan, actor of the theatre of Goris, enters the garden as he enters his theatre. He isn’t the owner of the garden; his neighbor left this 1.5 ha formerly desolate land situated in the mountains close to the city. In the formerly desolate territory the actor planted many fruit trees. He takes care of them as of his roles, some of which he hasn’t been able to play. From time to time the actor hosts here his friend, painter of the theatre, who, according to his own words, is not good at gardening. Money, everyday problems aren’t a topic in this garden. While speaking of money, they have difficulty in feeling themselves men. The actor and the painter resume here what they have left unfinished in the theatre; they praise each other and drink. Nature made these people self-sufficient and it seems that they have no demand from the state, “State? We do not have state. We have a land, have authorities, but we do not have state.” Every single tree and bush, flower and stone rule here. Seyran Mkrtchyan explains it; you lose authority on your own children upon their birth. This garden is in the territory of the city, which is full of forests. When one is in love here, it is easy to find an isolated place. Here the flowers grow with the best colors. No color is pale in Goris.
