Political scientist: Casting announced for Prime Minister's post (video)
The results of last month’s parliamentary elections were predictable, says political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan. He did not event doubt that the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) would win a landslide victory in the elections. Likewise, he was sure that the Tsarukyan alliance would be the second force in parliament. “The opposition is degrading, it is being marginalized. Several opposition forces remained outside parliament, except for the Yelk alliance,” Mr Iskandaryan said. The political analyst says the most interesting is yet to come after the end of Serzh Sargsyan’s presidency. “A casting has been for the position of Prime Minister.” Alexander Iskandaryan predicts changes in the governing elite during that period. He advises remembering the former and current Cabinet ministers and adds that political scenarios are determined by several influential figures. However, Mr Iskandaryan declined to give their names. “You know their names better.”
