"Two main candidates will compete in Iran’s presidential elections - incumbent President Hassan Rouhani, and conservative Ebrahim Raisi,” says Vardan Voskanyan, an expert in Iranian Studies. He adds that Iranians cannot decide on their favourite in the upcoming elections. “Results of opinion polls show that both candidates have almost equal chances. But voters in Iran are very unpredictable, and often change their minds. So, everything will become known on the election day.” Speaking about the country’s relations with Armenia, the expert said that the supreme leader of the country, rather than its president, is responsible for the country’s foreign policy. This means that no changes are expected in this context after the presidential elections.
