Wounded soldier dies on way to hospital
An Armenian soldier wounded in a military post on May 10 died on the way to hospital. Junior sergeant Gagik Mesropyan was fatally wounded on Wednesday morning after he was shot accidentally by a fellow serviceman who negligently opened fire, violating the basic rules of safe gun handling. The Investigative Committee has instituted a criminal case under Article 373.3 of the Criminal Code (Breach of rules for handling weapons, ammunition and other items which negligently caused human death). An investigation is in progress.
