Criminal case initiated on woman’s murder
A criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on 38 year-old woman’s murder in Armavir town. On April 12, 2017 a call was received informing that a shot was fired at 1 Hanrapetutyan, Armavir town. The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the site. The body of 38 year-old resident of Armavir with a firearm injury on the head was found at the site and a single-barreled hunting gun of KH 32904 factory numbers was found between the stalls near the pavement. On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Parts 1 of the Article 104 and the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the motive of the woman’s murder was found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified. The woman’s husband was arrested on suspicion of murder and was questioned. Pursuant to initial data, the relations between the spouses were tense because of personal problems. Forensic medical, as well as forensic ballistic, forensic biological and forensic finger print complex examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case. Taking the peculiarities of the criminal case into consideration mass media are asked to refrain from publishing data identifying the victim and the suspect out of protection of private life of participants of proceeding. Additional information on procedural decisions made on the base of the obtained evidence will be provided. Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
