The Yelk (Way Out) alliance has not decided yet the format of its participation in next month’s mayoral election in Yerevan, but it promises an original and interesting campaign. “The format we put forward in the change of generations is very actual in all areas, including the administration of Yerevan. We offer real changes for Yerevan. We attach great importance to programs and we shall present our program soon. It is supervised by a team of young people who have achieved something in their spheres. A total of 15 people are working on the program,” says Tigran Avinyan, one of the bloc’s candidates for the city council. Members of the Yelk alliance think that it is necessary to give votes to the alliance which has a spotless trajectory. The young candidates say that the bloc has kept all its pledges. “A representative of our alliance was elected as headman of Nor Kyanq (New Life), a village in Ararat region, and the locals already feel this change. We have resolved in the village problems which remained unattended for many years,” said Eduard Aghajanyan, another candidate of the bloc in the May 14 municipal polls. The alliance considers the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) its main contender in the upcoming election. Yelk members say they have offered to cooperate with Zaruhi Postanjyan’s Yerkir Tsirani party. “We made three proposals to Zaruhi Postanjyan: to head our list; join our alliance and head the list; join our alliance headed by Nikol Pashinyan but she rejected all our proposals," Tigran Avinyan said. Talking to A1+ Company on April 10, Zaruhi Postanjyan said she had received no offer from the Yelk alliance. “The offer was made which was actively discussed. The offer was not made for the first time.” The young candidates believe that Nikol Pashinyan, one of the leaders of the alliance who tops the list of the bloc’s candidates for the city council, has all chances to become a good mayor. : "We are determined to win. We participate in order to win and have a mayor. "
