S. Ohanyan: “I told them to be comprehensive, or else we will take other measures” (video)
After the meeting of Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance yesterday an incident was registered in Jrarat. Village head of Jrarat, Republican Samvel Galstyan threatened the supporter of the alliance. “After the incident, they even tried to use arms, but as a result of flexible activities by my teammates, the arms were removed and were handed over to the law enforcement bodies,” said Seyran Ohanyan. Though, the law enforcement officers took into the police station not the person, who threatened with the arms, but the supporters of “Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian” alliance, who prevented the incident. “The law enforcement bodies work within the frames of law and I asked them, urged them that it isn’t right to detain people from only one side, when an incident happens. I told them to be comprehensive, or else we will take other measures,” said Ohanyan. According to some information, the village head, who threatened with arms, is a relative of Armenia’s Deputy Police Chief Lyova Yeranosyan. Jrarat is the birthplace of Yeranosyan. His brother, Lernik Yeranosyan, also interfered with the incident. According to the data of the Investigative Committee, he even fired into the air. Last year Lernik Yeranosyan threw grenades at the citizens in Sari Tagh. “They say that the reason for the incident is previous problems. But the main reason for the incident is that they didn’t allow the people to participate in our rally.” Seyran Ohanyan urges the participants of such incidents to remain within the limits of civilization and not to stoop to the level of asphalt. “I propose to end it in a civilized way and believe that it is possible to reach changes through elections,” he notes. After the incident brother of the Deputy Police Chief- Lernik Yeranosyan was taken to Nairi medical center with bodily injuries.
