Normalization of relations between Russia and Turkey will not affect Armenia, says Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan. “Political analysts think that Turkey's rapprochement with Russia will harm Armenia, taking into account the dark pages of history. By contrast, I think that their rapprochement and right strategy will better the security of our country,’ he said. Speaking about Armenia’s foreign policy, Mr Navasardyan said he ‘sees some progress.’ “I always criticize our foreign policy, but now I cannot but welcome the latest changes in the foreign policy.” In reply to A1+’s observation that the Karabakh issue is manipulated in elections, with various forces offering various solutions, Arman Navasardyan said, “I have not studied their proposals but this [Karabakh issue] is our weak point and if a political party sees its future in politics, it must address this issue. Everybody understands that if Karabakh falls, Armenia will also collapse, that is why they should unite and fight together, rather than offer different prescriptions.”
