Narine Hovhannisyan: Lessons at schools may be postponed (video)
Pupils may be given a week extra holiday in January instead of spring holidays. Narine Hovhannisyan, the Chief of Public Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, told “A1+”. According to the words of the Head of the department, at the moment Minister Levon Mkrtchyan is discussing the issue with governors in order to understand general situation in the republic. “There are regions, where there is warm and no reason to postpone the lessons, but we have been applied from Ararat marz so that the pupils can go to school starting from 10:00 so that the classrooms get a bit warmer,” noted Narine Hovhannisyan. The issue of extending winter holidays at the expense of spring holidays is also being discussed in the ministry. Narine Hovhannisyan told “A1+” that the decision will be published in the evening.
