When opposition criticizes other oppositional forces (video)
According to the Republican Ruzan Muradyan, in 2016 the Republican Party has created enough conditions for the activities of the opposition, “The Republican itself initiates so that in the opposition field people unite.” She does not agree that her party has nothing to do in the political field anymore; during the last local elections people proved that they have, “Previous expressions, statements that people are tired of the Republican, aren’t true anymore.” Republican Hakob Hakobyan has difficulty in answering whether there is reliable opposition force in Armenia. The question about Seyran Ohanyan’s being an opposition representative is also difficult, though he immediately contradicts to the words of the former Defense Minister that he is not with the authorities, “Just words are not enough.” Dashnak Aghvan Vardanyan considers Seyran Ohanyan’s entrance to politics a result of the Constitution adopted especially with their efforts, “I have read Seyran Ohanyan’s statement on entering politics, but I haven’t seen any clear anti-governmental formulation there.” Dashnaktsutyun, which is now included in the government, will participate in the upcoming elections separately and not with the Republican Party. “Armenia has experience in establishing fake opposition forces,” says the Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Head Levon Zurabyan. But he will not tell who today play the role of opposition with Republican’s scenario, “When you see that any opposition starts criticizing not the authorities but the opposition forces, so know that it is created for that purpose, in order to criticize the authorities.” In Armenia, according to Levon Zurabyan, there is manageable democracy, and creating fake opposition is one of its expressions.
