NSS former Deputy Head: “Ateshian probably works for special services”
Today information has been disseminated that Archbishop Aram Ateshian, General Vicar (Acting Patriarch) of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, arrived in Armenia. Commenting on the news, Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, former Deputy Head of the National Security Service (NSS), said that he is an unwanted person in Armenia. “Ateshian leads Armenophobic policy in Istanbul. I think that he, in all probability, works for special services,” he said, adding that Ateshian came to Armenia for proving the opposite. “He has come to deceive us and say that it isn’t true” To remind, Aram Ateshian criticized Bundestag decision on recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
