After 4 days of hunger strike, Ararat Khandoyan, brother of a member of “Sasna Dzrer” group Arayik Khandoyan, stopped the hunger strike. His advocate Ara Gharagyozyan told “A1+” that Ararat Khandoyan stopped the hunger strike at the request of the advocates and his wife. “He is a participant of Artsakh Liberation War; he received shrapnel and gunshot wounds, his left kidney, spleen and a part of liver were removed. In this condition he cannot continue hunger strike,” said the advocate. To remind, Ararat Khandoyan is charged with participating in the mass disorders during July 21 clashes on Khorenatsi Street. The preliminary investigation into the case is over, and after confirmation of indictment, the case will be sent to court. By the way, the preliminary investigation body has applied to the court for extending Ararat Khandoyan’s precautionary measure for one more month. The mediation will be discussed on September 15.
