Bringing Alliance Party to the square, they want to bring the people, who will implement relevant functions during the marches and rallies, says political expert Stepan Safaryan. He tells not to forget that the leader of that party has family ties with the Head of the NSS, “It is very interesting that a person, who was formerly against the street revolutions, is joining the street revolution, armed rebellion; a person, who used to say that Armenia needs revolution of consciousness. At present it is very strange that not being a follower of revolution, not being known for clear oppositional stance, it joins the struggle of ultra-radical group.” In reply to the question by “A1+”, why he isn’t joining the struggle, Stepan Safaryan answered, “First, I wasn’t in Yerevan, I was in Tavush, but when I returned, I visited Khorenatsi.” He also explained why he didn’t make any speeches, “I am not a supporter of armed revolt, I am not an expert, I cannot go to the platform and defend something, which I cannot imagine myself. I can agree to the demands of Sasna Dzrer, but I cannot do more, especially, when I understand that the platform of Khorenatsi is somehow the continuation of the process, which the guys started.” The political expert doesn’t agree that the only way out is armed rebellion, “I think that the political figure has no right to say that there is no way out. The politics is just for finding solutions. It is very easy to say that there is no way out. There have been many examples of peaceful disobedience, our country isn’t so bad, that it is possible in all the places, but not in our country. It is easy to say that Serzh is to blame for everything, his policy is to blame; I think that he, who heads the process, should bear some responsibility, at least political responsibility.” In this struggle, Stepan Safaryan can see himself only in the rows of the people in order not to allow use of force, “I will defend the people, I can see my function in that, I must propose non-force solutions and I am doing so.”
