Jirayr Sefilyan doesn’t give evidence
Jirayr Sefilyan, member of “New Armenia” public salvation front, confronted the person, who had given testimony against him. “It was a beautiful performance. What that person said for the confrontation is complete nonsense,” Jirayr Sefilyan’s advocate Ara Zakaryan told “A1+”. Mr Zakaryan didn’t present details, “One thing was obvious, that he had prepared in that way and aims to simply accuse Jirayr Sefilyan of certain crime.” By the way, Zirayr Sefilyan hasn’t given evidence and doesn’t want to give any clarification, “According to Mr Sefilyan and the defense side the body dealing with the case is not taking any steps for investigating the alleged crime, but is simply fulfilling another order given by the authorities, that’s why there is nothing to say,” noted the advocate. According to the statement issued by the RA Investigative Committee, Jirayr Sefilyan had come to an agreement with an armed group to take over buildings, important structures and communication centres, including Yerevan TV Tower. For that purpose, they purchased illegal weapons and ammunition and hid them in different places. Jirayr Sefilyan considers all this to be nonsense and scenario planned by the authorities in advance.
