Murder in Yerevan: Assailant identified
At 9.m., on May 13, the Mashtots Division of the Armenian Police received a report about an altercation in a Yerevan street. Officers responding to the call found the body of a woman in one of the houses in Karapetyan Street. There were cuts on her body caused by a cutting and piercing instrument. The woman was identified as Shoghik Armenakyan (born in 1987). Another two inhabitants of the house, Hamlet Armenakyan and Shavarsh Armenakyan (b. in 1990), had been rushed to hospital before the arrival of police officers. Similar cuts were found on their bodies, too. Shavarsh Armenakyan died in hospital without regaining consciousness. The police have identified the assailant. Investigation is under way.
