Azerbaijan opened fire on Tavush settlements: one serviceman wounded
Last night and today in the morning escalation of armed confrontation was registered in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the direction of Berdavan and Koti settlements of the RA Tavush marz. The Azerbaijani side used weapons of different caliber toward the Armenian positions, including 60 mm and 82 mm mortars. As a result of the retaliatory action initiated by the RA Armed forces’ vanguard units the adversary’s activity was quelled. Contractual serviceman Zori Goris Ashrafyan (born in 1983) was wounded during the shooting. The RA Armed forces display restraint and confidently continue keeping the situation under control. RA MOD
