SSFS: Animal plague cases reported in Armenia’s neighboring countries

Armenia’s State Service for Food Safety (SSFS) issued a statement saying it is going to take preventive measures, considering the recent cases of plague in animals in Iran, Turkey, and Georgia and its risk for Armenia. The Service says it is holding talks with the All-Russian Research Institute for Animal Health to prevent the penetration of the plague into Armenia and to obtain the anti-plague vaccine as quickly as possible. In its March 3 session, the Armenian Government adopted a a respective decision that will enable the country to quickly receive the necessary vaccine.
