Armenian Defense Ministry: Azerbaijan again intensifies border tensions
Armenia’s Defense Ministry shares the pain of the heavy loss and extends condolences to families of the two soldiers who were killed on Thursday in the southern direction of the conflict zone as a result of ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan. “The Ministry strongly condemns the actions of the Azerbaijani side which, it says, has the nature of a terrorist act. Fully realizing that the operation will not go without consequences, the military and political leadership of Azerbaijan once again tensions the situation on the border. At the same time we call attention to the fact that the steps aimed at destabilizing the along the Line of Contact are intensifying day by day immediately after the end of the elections in that country [Azerbaijan] and after the regional visit of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs which once again speak testifies to the destructive approach the authorities of that country have towards the Karabakh conflict settlement, their disregard of the appeals by the mediation mission, and violation of the norms of international law," the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
