Representatives of the pressure group called “You Won’t Pass It” today held an awareness campaign ahead of the October 2 rally. About a dozen young people handed out leaflets to passers-by, employers of shops, cafes and pavilions on Mashtots Avenue. In the past two days, several members of the initiative were taken to police stations. Arshak Masukhanyan, one of the members of the initiative, says he is not surprised by the behavior of the police. In an interview with A1+, the activist said, “A man cannot be arrested for scribbling graffiti on a wall but they think it is normal. After keeping me at a police department for an hour, they drew up a report and set me free,” he said. Arshak does not exclude that the obstacles might be created on the day of rally but says it will not interfere with their struggle. David Hovhannisyan, another member of the pressure group, said they are working every day to achieve their goal. “We want to thwart the referendum and they want to ensure their reproduction. People should go out to the street and fight with us”
