Authorities in Armenia are forcing people to take to the street to speak about their problems. Problems are not solved, and people have no other way. This government is an anti-democratic, criminal and corrupt government. All negative words can be applied in relation to the acting authorities. It is natural that people will want to get rid of the acting regime as soon as possible,” said Hovsep Khurshudyan, a member of the Heritage party. In fact, citizens in Armenia are unable to change the power, and each event gives them hope that they will eventually be able to form a legitimate government. Mr. Khurshudyan stressed that ‘by using force and killing people in the streets, through political persecution and fraud the authorities are able to ensure their reproduction.’ He says if citizens and opposition forces decide to take the same direction, it would be much easier to prevent the reproduction of power. Artur Kocharyan says unresolved issues arouse necessity for changes. “History shows that minor changes lead to a change of power and if the problems continue to pile up it is not excluded that one day the authorities will change,” he said. He considers baseless the statements that people have got tired and do not want to go out to the street. “The events on Baghramyan Avenue showed that people have the strength to fight actively.”
