Short time ago Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan approached “Nairit” employees, who were again near the Government building, and informed that there had been a discussion with Serzh Sargsyan on the issue of the payment of salaries of “Nairit” plant former employees.
Zakharyan informed that Serzh Sargsyan had instructed to pay the whole salary of “Nairit” employees until July 15. The total debt is about US$ 15 million.
“Nairit” employees were cautious in the interview with us and they aren’t sure that the promise will be kept. They are demanding written guarantees. Asked by “A1+”, by what means the debt must be paid, Yervand Zakharyan didn’t give any comments.
At this moment “Nairit” employees are discussing the possibility of holding a sit-in strike.
