After a twenty-minute recess, the National Assembly voted against a bill submitted by opposition lawmaker Hrant Bagratyan who proposed to reorganize banks from CJSC into OJSC. “Take the microphone out of the hall if they disturb you,” opposition lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan said to NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan, who switched off the microphones of all MPs who referred to the pending rise in electricity tariffs. “People say this is an important issue while you turn off their microphones. I propose that we include the issue in the draft agenda, invite the Energy Minister and hold a discussion here,” Pashinyan continued. “We do not have any facts at our disposal and we are to follow the NA regulations. I tell you that we should wait for the conclusion of the relevant body and then start hearings. I have the right to switch off the microphones in compliance with the NA regulations,” said Galust Sahakyan. Zaruhi Postanjyan, a lawmaker from the opposition Heritage Party, spoke about her initiative demanding the dismissal of Syunik marz Governor Suren Khachatryan. She wanted MR Sahakyan to give a definite answer to her. “I repeat once again that the National Assembly is not a judge and it is within the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office to decide Khachatryan’s dismissal,” said Mr Sahakyan. While Zaruhi Postanjyan was speaking, Republican lawmaker Manvel Grigoryan got nervous and poured some water [he was drinking] on the table. Then, he began to diligently clear the table and pour the water on the floor.
