Once again SIS terminated the proceedings initiated with regard to the case of “A1+” journalist
Special Investigation Service again decided that RA State Guard Regiment battalion commander Karen Hayrapetyan hadn’t hindered the professional activities of “A1+” journalist Marine Khachatryan and decided to terminate the proceedings based on the lack of corpus delicti. The investigator decided: “There is lack of corpus delicti in the act of K. Hayrapetyan intended by RA Criminal Code Article 118, Article 185 and 186 Part 1 and Article 309 which intend criminal responsibility for beating Marine Khachatryan as well as intentionally or negligently damaging her property.” To remind, on September 9, 2014, while covering the action by Hakaharvats (Counter Attack) street art group, the chief of the NA security Karen Hayrapetyan hit A1+’s journalist Marine Khachatryan, who was covering the incident, on the arm, causing her to drop her recording device – iPad – to the ground. Until today Marine Khachatryan has been invited to additional interrogations for several times.
