Criminal Court of Appeal refused the appeal on the change of custody as a measure of restraint for the President of the Founding Parliament Garegin Chukaszyan. The group of advocates mediated to change custody as a measure of restraint for Chukaszyan set by Court of First Instance. To remind, yesterday the Criminal Court of Appeals also refused the appeals on the cases of Jirayr Sefilyan, Pavel Manukyan, Gevorg Safaryan and Aram Hakobyan. Tomorrow the Court will study the appeal requesting to change the restraint of member of the FP Varuzhan Avetisyan. Senior members of Founding Parliament – Zhirayr Sefilyan, Pavel Manukyan, Garegik Chukaszyan, Varuzhan Avetisyan and Gevorg Safaryan -were arrested on April 7 on suspicion of planning to stir up ‘mass disturbances’ at the sites of genocide centenary commemorations on April 24.
