Founding Parliament members hold march in Yerevan (video)

The members of the Founding Parliament movement are holding a march in Yerevan, with a demand to release their jailed friends. The group gathered at Liberty Square, chanting “We are the owners of the city” and “Freedom” and singing patriotic songs. The FP members announced that although the FP leaders are in custody, the movement’s rally slated for April 24 outside the Erebuni Museum will be held by all means. Ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan , in turn, shared her concerns and said the authorities are planning something against society and they need to take measures to prevent the imminent danger. She cannot understand why people cannot ascend the Tsitsernakaberd hill on April 24 to pay tribute to the 1.5 million innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide before 1pm. Paruyr Hayrikyan, Chairman of the Union for National Self-Determination (AIM), si also participating in the march.
