One serviceman killed, seven injured in military truck crash on Spitak-Yerevan highway (video)
One soldier was killed and seven others were injured after a military truck transporting them veered off the road and fell into a roadside gorge. The accident happened on the 19th kilometer of Spitak-Yerevan highway earlier on Wednesday. Artyom Tovmasyan (born in 1995) died from injuries sustained in the crash. The injured servicemen were taken to hospital with different injuries. Three of them were the later transferred to the Central Military Hospital in Yerevan. The Ministry of Defence shares the pain of the heavy loss and extends condolences to Artyom Tovmasyan’s family, relatives and fellow servicemen.
