Armenian Foreign Minister does not take Turkish PM’s statement on the 8th anniversary of Hrant Dink’s assassination. In his statement the Turkish official stressed the importance of Armenian-Turkish friendly relations. “Why should Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu or other high-ranking officials wait until 2015 to make such statements about Dink? Why didn’t they make similar statements earlier when we were commemorating the 6th, 4th or 2nd anniversary of Dink’s murder,” Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian told reporters on Monday. If they really seek our friendship, let them ratify the Armenian-Turkish Protocols which were, by the way, signed by Davutoglu,” said Mr Nalbandian. “Instead, they are philosophizing. On one occasion, I advised Davutoglu to take realistic steps.” The Armenian FM says the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Karabakh conflict are becoming more and more complicated. “Azerbaijani leadership's adequacy and ability to have a sober view of the situation arouses doubts. In one of his press conference Azerbaijan’s President said that the press in his country is free and its rating is above 90 percent,” said Edward Nalbandian. In reply to a journalist’s question why the CSTO does not react to the border violations and deaths in the Azerbaijani armed forces, the Armenian FM said it reacts by issuing corresponding statements. Although Mr Nalbandian did not express his opinion on the Gyumri tragedy he said it cannot worsen Armenia’s relations with Russia. We are taking joint efforts to strengthen these relations, deepen and develop them in the future,” he said. Edward Nalbandian started the news conference with the sentence, “Let 2015 be a peaceful and good year for our country and our people.”
