9 women were killed in their own families (video)
This year 9 cases of family violence ended in women’s murder. This was informed by “Against the violence toward women” coalition member Lara Aharonyan. The coalition gave a letter to Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan with the demand: “Pass the law on the family violence and recognize October 1 as the day of national fight against family violence,”- said Lara Aharonyan to A1+. Lara Aharonyan says that there is increase of violence cases in Armenia, but it isn’t because the cases increased, but people have become more informed.
