Only people exert pressure on Republicans with their struggle - says Nikol Pashinyan
Armenian National Congress (HAK) MP Nikol Pashinyan has come out to talk to small traders protesting outside the parliament building against the controversial law on turnover tax. Pashinyan said Republicans are also concerned about this issue, but did not do anything to change the law. “They [Republicans] realize that the law has shortcomings but they are doing nothing to address the problem. Only you can influence the Republicans with your struggle,” he said. Thousands of small traders have been holding protests in the past week against the changes that they think will make their lives harder despite assurances by the cabinet that the changes are in favour of small and medium-sized enterprises.
